This wedding was one that little girls dream of. Bobby and Jess were married in the backyard of the house where the groom grew up, by their mutual friend (my brother) that takes all the credit for them getting together. It was a gorgeous and intimate celebration as the toasts had everyone laughing at the rehearsal dinner and the reception. The house is located in a cute town surrounded by golden hills. The flowers for the bouquets, boutonnieres, and center pieces were made by the bride’s mother. The sound and music was taken care of by the groom’s stepdad, who added a backup drum beat throughout the reception’s dance playlist. The maid of honor did the bride’s hair. The meal was catered by a neighbors meat company. And another neighbor helped coordinate the wedding. Everyone had a job, and every detailed was taken care of by someone they loved. It was a day they will never forget, and I hope as always that my photos capture the feel of it all for them to hold onto and share.
The men getting ready is always a good laugh. The photo on the left is the bridesman’s toes. He went and got a pedicure with all the other bridesmaids. The photo on the right was a proud boutonniere pinning job by one of the groomsmen, that I redid after taking this photo.
