Sometimes photography invites me into things that make me feel like i could explode. Photographing JP and Katrina’s wedding was like that. It was everything that’s good in life; the desert, Joshua tree, ace hotel, photo booths, friends, family, delicious food, laughter, tears, and so much love you could put some in your pocket and keep it forever. On November 14th Katrina and JP more or less eloped. They drove to the desert with a tiny group of witnesses and picked the other person to be their human forever. They wrote their vows on the hour long ride from Palm Springs to Joshua tree and I think everyone had at least one tear in their eyes by the end of the ceremony. It was a beautiful day; and that little spot among the boulders and Joshua Trees, easily overlooked by others in the vastness of the surrounding desert, will forever be theirs.
